Department’s Profile
The Department of European Studies, Public Administration and Law is involved in teaching Master’s and Bachelor’s course modules in both full time and part time form of study. It provides tuition of some compulsory modules of Bachelor’s degree programmes (Foundations of Law, International and Community Law, Foundations of Public Administration) and other course modules (Copyright, Application of Law). Its main mission is to deliver teaching of ‘Public Administration and Public Relations’ programme, coded 6202R058, together with the Department of Public Relations and Communication. Within this programme the department is the guarantor of ‘Public Administration’ course, which is an ideal choice for those who work or intend to work in public administration.
Regarding the Master’s programmes the department is the guarantor of ‘Public and Regional Politics’ course under the ‘European Studies and Public Administration’ programme. This course is ideal for students who intend to broaden their practical knowledge in the public administration sphere and also acquire theoretical resources for policy making in public administration. The department also takes part in teaching compulsory modules of Master’s programmes (European Union Law) and other specific modules (European Administration Law and its Making, Control Systems of Public Administration in the CR and the EU, International Public Law).
Last but not least, the department provides teaching of special courses on law making and the public administration authorities’ duty to provide information. Members of the department actively cooperate with Central Public Administration Authorities (Government Legislative Council).
