Department’s Profile
The Department of International Relations and Diplomacy is involved in teaching Master’s and Bachelor’s course modules in both full time and part time form of study. It provides teaching of some compulsory Bachelor’s programme modules (Social Protocol, Information Analysis Activities) and other course modules (Professional Etiquette). Its main mission is to deliver teaching of ‘International Relations and Diplomacy’ programme, coded 6701R006.
The department is a guarantor of ‘International and Diplomatic Studies’ Master’s programme and its two courses: ‘Economic Diplomacy’ and ‘Diplomatic Services’. It also participates in teaching other course modules (Analytical Intelligence Activities).
To provide teaching and other activities the department cooperates with the Czech Council on Foreign Relations and the Jan Masaryk Centre for International Studies at the Faculty of International Relations, The University of Economics, Prague (FMV VŠE).
The members of the department actively participate in research and publication activities. The department has recently taken part in a grant project of the Czech Science Foundation (Grantová agentura ČR) called Economic Dimensions of the Czech Diplomacy and Its Application in Relation to the West Balkan Countries.
